Quotes, Prices and Paying

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. Whatever's approved on-site is what lands on the invoice at the end. If we hit something unexpected behind a wall or under a fixture, that gets discussed with you before we touch it, not billed after the fact.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. A plumber inspects the job and quotes a price on the spot, and that costs nothing. Walk away if you want to, no pressure and no follow-up calls chasing you.

How do your quotes work?

A plumber looks the job over first-hand, then names one fixed price before anything begins. Say yes and that figure's locked in for the invoice, no additions once work's underway.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

It's $0, always, job or no job. The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions, regardless of the hour or how long it takes.

The Legal Side, Made Simple

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Of course. Our licence is NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and it's fine to ask before work starts. Checking who's actually in your home is a sensible thing to do.

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

By law, only a licensed gas fitter. Every gas job that comes through us goes to someone properly qualified for it, without exception. Smell gas before we arrive? Get outside, call from there, and skip anything involving a switch or a flame on the way.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Shutting the water off at the meter or an isolation valve is usually fine and can cut down on damage. Past that point, hold off, particularly with anything gas-related. Ring (02) 9134 9079 if you're not sure and we'll walk you through it.

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

Labour, on every job, that's what it covers. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost. Nothing about that promise is conditional.

Getting Us to Your Door

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Every day of the week, including public holidays. Emergencies don't consult a calendar first, so our roster doesn't either. Same plumber, same pricing, regardless of the date.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, properly. Phone us at any hour and a licensed plumber answers, never a machine. Somebody local is always reachable, whatever time it is.

What happens after I call?

You explain the problem, and we get a plumber moving toward you. Arrival means a price confirmed on the spot, then the work starts straight away.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything actively flooding, leaking gas, or leaving you without hot water or a working toilet counts as urgent. When in doubt, and it's causing damage or feels unsafe, call it an emergency and ring us.

Answers From Around Manly

Do you work on Manly's apartments and strata blocks?

All the time. About three-quarters of Manly's housing is apartments, everything from older Art Deco blocks to newer builds near The Corso. A split flexi-hose upstairs can flood a neighbour below within minutes, and we treat strata callouts with the same price and the same paperwork as any house, keeping owners or managers in the loop.

Which suburbs do you service?

Manly's home turf for us, and the coverage stretches to Fairlight, Balgowlah, Freshwater, Manly Vale and Seaforth as well. Anywhere on that list, ring (02) 9134 9079 and we'll sort a time.

What does heavy rain do to Manly's plumbing?

Sitting on a narrow strip between the harbour and the surf beaches means Manly copes with runoff from two directions at once during a downpour. Add the steep ground around North Head and Darley Road, where water picks up speed heading downhill, and older drains further down the slope can struggle to keep up.

Why do Manly's older homes keep us busy?

Federation cottages and early flats around Manly often still run the original galvanised pipework and earthenware sewer lines they were built with. Constant salt air off the beach and harbour speeds up wear on top of that, so fittings here tend to fail sooner than they would further inland.
